The Passion of Plates

Everybody has a passion. Every single person wakes up everyday with a mission of some kind to get accomplished, and that's what makes it a good day for them. For some people, it's something as easy as sitting down and watching a television show by the end of the day. For me, however, the goal is to eat a great meal.
Now, great meals come in all shapes and sizes. Some great meals come at home, where you make a master meal of all the foods you know how to make. Maybe a great meal can come that one time a week the dining hall has jammin' pizza. The greatest meals of all, however, are the sloppy and quick $10 options at local spots. Whole heartedly, 100%, take it to the bank.
The first night I ever had a garbage plate, I was trying to decided between two different plates at Jimmy Z's Plates and Shakes.
"Go with the All American plate," he said. "Trust me, guys like me don't get big from eating bad food."He rubbed his belly, and I truly felt happy.
I ended up going with one of the greatest flavor mashes of my life. Macaroni salad, potatoes, cheeseburger, hot dog, and meat sauce on the same plate was total madness. It unlocked the world of Western New York food.
This is what it all boils down to. My passion is finding great foods. I like wings, garbage plates, and milkshakes. I'm going to tell you all about the great spots I've been to, and how great the meals are to me.

Coming up, I'll have a post on Duff's Famous Wings of Rochester, followed by a post on the Anchor Bar in Buffalo. Local favorites will be featured later in extensive profile pieces.
